Do you have business here? -- Sea to Sky Pow

WOW a month of no skiing after an amazing first day was almost too much to handle. The "shoulder" season where you dream of deep winter snow packs, bottomless pow is the hardest on me, well not me, on my wife the restlessness no doubt drives her crazy.

I have been waiting to try out the new tires on the BSM ( Backcountry 4x4). A muddy, snowy, logging road was in the cards today and it was more than up to the task. I love you Goodyear Duratracs! Much to our surprise the road was freshly graded and fully occupied by friendly loggers! One was even concerned that we were lost and was asking us what business we had up the road. We calmly replied we were skiing.

A few creek crossings and about 2 hours of log jumping we made it to the skiing. Weatherman had promised sunny breaks but he is a liar and we had to stick to the trees so we could avoid any death traps. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the snow was already 125cm's deep and most rocks and hazards were covered!!
Early ski missions aren't complete without a creek crossing
Three runs and almost a 1000m of effortless silky turns the early season light caught up to us and we hightailed for home. A logging truck escort down the FSR and a successful day!

Yes this is November!
